Here
is where you will (eventually) find an archive of images
relating to the Vango family. These will be a mixture of
photographs old-and-new, as well as documents, such as birth,
marriage and death certificates.
They
will all be thumb-nailed (i.e. you will be able to see very
small versions of them on this page) and clicking on a
thumb-nail will bring up the full- size image into a new window
of your browser. When you have finished you should close the new
browser window and you should find this page again.

|
WELCOME
Click on any of the thumb-nails to see a full size
version in a new pop-up window. Please don't forget to
close the new window after you've viewed the picture. |

A news-cutting about James Vango (circa 1935) who's father
(unnamed) wove the silk for Queen Victoria's wedding
dress. |
A large map of the East End of London in 1827. This
is the area that the Vango's inhabited for a hundred
years either side of that time. |
This is a huge detailed street map of the East-End of London, from Canonbury in the northwest to Millwall in the southeast. The page is around 2 MBytes in memory size so, if you decide to load it, I would suggest you only ever do it once and save the page to your PC in case you wish to refer to it in the
future. |
