The Vango Family Tree

This page last updated
06 August 2002

This page will contain an archive of the Vango family tree/s and any fragments of it that are gleaned. Quite how those fragments are represented is very likely to change to make it more accessible.

I have been giving some thought to exactly how to depict the trees here and how to illustrate other associated details. This is some project, which is going to take considerable organising. The thinking is still on-going

I have a great deal of small fragments to add to this plus the results of research done by Jason Vango in Suffolk, Marlys Vango-Rivard in Canada and John McLinden, who has done considerable research. I will be working on representing this here - but it's likely to extend over several screens (at least) - that is unless you have a 300 inch monitor

If you have a knowledge of your immediate (or not so immediate) family then please let me know as much detail as you have and I'll put a pop-up tree here, like the others you find here. Eventually, they should all link up. In fact if you have any information which you feel will add to the trees then please let me know via the message board or directly by e-mail.

THE TREES

KEY to the TREES

Each link to a TREE opens up a new pop-up window containing one tree in which the coloured squares represent either a Vango or a spouse/partner as follows:

= VANGO

= spouse/partner

Names highlighted in red
- position your mouse curser over the text to find out more information. Some of these red names are links to other pages particular to that person. If you click on one you may be taken to a page that may contain photographs, further details, stories and/or another Tree.
You may  see the following icons in the bottom right-hand corner of the information window :

means that clicking on the red name leads to a page of images of that person.

means that clicking on the red name leads to another related pop-up family tree.

means that clicking on the red name leads to an external web page pop-up.

Example:

I have used both IGI and FreeBDM sources to research the Vango Family Tree. The results of my searches are available at the following links (NOTE- These are large pages and may take a minute or so to load) :

If you have trouble seeing any of the trees correctly then please let me know and I'll try to adapt things accordingly.

Please note that all dates are in English format, i.e. d.m.yyyy

And, just in case you can't figure out what relationship you are to another Vango, here's a link to a FAMILY RELATIONSHIP CHART to help.
